What does success mean to you?

Success means something different to everyone, but ultimately success is a result of the number of life factors that are important and of value to you. Take the quiz below to see what success means to you and let me know what you got!

I don’t consider a day a good day unless I spend at least part of it _______

Which of the following would you most likely do if you won the lottery?

You love what you do for a living, but you don’t make a lot of money. Do you classify yourself as successful?

What’s more important to you?

You make great money and have a position of leadership in your job, but you don’t bond with any of your co-workers and the work itself is extremely boring. Are you happy?

The saying “ Money can’t buy you happiness” is

Finish the sentence: “ Loving what you do is _________"

What does success mean to you?
Accumulating wealth
“ Work smarter not harder” is your motto. You admire those who are able to acquire lots of money without having to lift a finger. You measure your progress by your bank balance, your material possessions you can afford to buy and by the experiences you can afford to have. Making as much money as you can is your main goal and you won’t stop until you acquire all the riches you desire. You Go!
Making a positive difference in the world
Your idea of success is to leave the world in a better place than when you came into it. You want to improve the lives of other people. You want to work to change things on a global scale or you could just want to work to help others within your community. As long as you know you’re making an impact on the world you deem yourself as successful and that’s amazing!
Having a great work ethic
You believe in working hard for its own sake, you don’t need to motivate yourself to get out of bed or get to the grind. Others often comment on how industrious and reliable you are. You would put the same level of energy and commitment into digging a ditch as you would performing brain surgery. You are always setting a new goal for yourself and then working diligently to achieve it, and as soon as you do, you set a new one. Good for you!
Having fun
To you, success means having a good time! For this, you do tend to need some money, but wealth for its own sake is not your primary goal. You want to have as many wonderful experiences as you can before you die. Whether that's sitting around the kitchen table, laughing with your family and friends, or travelling around the world, it doesn't really matter to you, as long as you're having fun. It's the emotional aspect of the experience that matters most to you, not the financial one. You go Hun!

Falling into the perfection trap

Falling into the perfection trap can lead to a lot of stress and anxiety, as you focus on perfecting the minute details of everything you do. Focus on what matters most by implementing the 80/20 rule where you focus on the 20 percent of things that will produce 80 percent of your desired results. Also known as the Pareto Principle.

Reluctant to claim your achievements

The fear of coming across arrogant can make you downplay your success. Give yourself the credit you deserve by telling yourself and others your achievements with pride.

Listening to your inner critic

Our inner critic is the part of us that points out all our faults which ultimately makes us feel bad about ourselves. Develop an awareness of your thoughts and remember that not everything you think is true and can be often exaggerated or biased.

Even though multi-tasking may feel productive, you’re often left feeling scattered and making frequent mistakes. Become mindful of what’s realistic within the timeframe you have and stick to that plan.

Comparing themselves to others

The only person you should compare yourself to is yourself. Focus on becoming a better you than you were yesterday. Comparing your worst with the best of others only results in you losing yourself.
